On Augst 30, Manchester's Charlie Weld will be part of the featured duo "Annie Brobst with Charlie Weld" at The Cut in Gloucester.

Based in Boston and raised in Ohio, Annie Brobst was the 2023 New England Music Awards' Female Performer of the Year across all music genres and has accumulated nearly 20 local awards as a Country Singer/Songwriter here in the Northeast.

She’s notable for adding a feminine touch to a bro-country sound with an undeniable stage presence. With songwriting influences like Ashley McBryde, Old Dominion, Miranda Lambert, and Jason Isbell, Annie's last album "Where We Holler" peaked at #2 on the US iTunes Country Album Chart just below Carrie Underwood for the week, which is unprecedented for an independent artist.  The album was described as "nothing short of a love letter to country music" by Worcester Magazine.  She's been on the big stages at Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter NY, Country Jam Colorado, and Headwaters Country Jam in Montana as well as here locally at Big Night Live, House of Blues Boston, City Winery Boston, and more.  Between touring out west and back at home, she's shared stages with acts like Hardy, Josh Turner, Little Big Town, Kip Moore, Brett Eldredge, and over 40 others.

Charlie Weld, a resident of Manchester, is also a Boston-based singer-songwriter who creates immersive experiences in melodic disguises.  She attends the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston.

Her storytelling is the heart of her craft and she strives to convey all emotions from love, to loss, to heartache.  In the words of Christy Altomare, singer-songwriter and Broadway performer, "I can say with confidence that Charlie is without a doubt one of the most talented students I have had the privilege to teach."
