Christina Delisio for State Rep

I am writing to express my strong support for Christina Delisio in the upcoming election for State Representative on March 31.

I ask you to vote for Dru Tarr for state representative.  I also want to clarify some misstatements about his opponent Christina Delisio.  I served alongside her on Manchester’s Planning Board and know first-hand how disruptive and irresponsible she can be.

Vote for Christina Delisio

More than executive and judicial branches of government, citizens should expect the legislative branch to represent them.  In that regard, for those with hopes of improving the state government, one clear choice emerges in the upcoming election.

I read the letter from Susan Wadia-Els (The Cricket, 20 March 2026) concerning the proposed Freedom to Move Act and her claim that it "would limit the number of miles a state-licensed, gas-powered car is allowed to drive each year" and that "Massachusetts would somehow monitor how many miles my car is driven."

Everything gets done through relationships.  Can anyone accomplish anything meaningful alone, without the support, encouragement, and cooperation of others?  This is true in everyday life — but it is especially true in politics, where building coalitions is essential to passing legislation, securing resources, and serving constituents effectively.

I am writing to express my support for Christina Delisio to represent Cape Ann in the 5th Essex District. The most qualified candidate should hold this important position, and Christina Delisio brings the education, professional experience, public service, and character needed to do the job well.

Here is why I am going to vote for Christina Delisio for state representative in our upcoming special election on Tuesday March 31st.

Thank you to all who came to our first annual March to the Fourth fundraiser on March 7th at the Legion!  All proceeds are going to this year’s Manchester by the Sea 4th of July celebrations, including July 3rd fireworks and the annual parade on July 4th.

As I’ve discussed the upcoming Cape Ann State Representative election on March 31 with local residents, I found that some people mistakenly thought Christina Delisio was running against Senator Bruce Tarr.

In a letter to the Essex Selectmen dated February 4, and in comments at a Board of Selectmen's meeting (FEB 20 ed. of the Cricket), Ruth Pereen requested the placement of two "citizen's articles" on the Warrant for Annual Town Meeting.  Both of them are misguided in my view.

The Friends of the Manchester Council on Aging (Friends of the COA) is pleased to have received a $1,000 award from Bank Gloucester’s “2025 Banking for the Community Award” program that benefits nonprofit community organizations on Cape Ann.

As a Gloucester resident and independent voter, I am proud to endorse Christina Delisio for State Representative of the 5th Essex District, and I urge you to vote for her in the March 31 general election.

On behalf of all who care deeply about preserving the historic character of Manchester-by-the-Sea, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to the many residents and friends who contributed so generously to the restoration of the First Parish Church Meeting House steeple.

Well, we all had a wonderful time at the bowling alley.  Without Mike and June it would not happen.  They got the crew together for my birthday bash!

After serving on the Manchester Housing Authority Board for the past eight years, I have decided not to run for reelection when my term is up in May.  My hope is that a new enthusiastic candidate will step forward to fill that slot.

I am writing to draw attention to a serious safety hazard at the intersection of North Street and [cross street] in Manchester-by-the-Sea.  For months, vehicles have been parked within five feet of the stop sign, sometimes even on top of the painted stop line, creating a dangerous blind corner for drivers and pedestrians alike.

I am writing in support of Ashley Sullivan for State rep in the March 3rd Republican primary. I support her because I know she will support my rights and freedoms to decide what medications and vaccines I take and not be mandated by government.

Hi everyone.  I have had the privilege of knowing Christina Delisio for over four years.  Throughout that time, she has consistently demonstrated common sense, conservative values, …

When Donald Trump was elected to his second term in November 2024, I told my students that all we had to go by was what he did during his first term.  That was a louder version of a fairly common model in which an outsider wins the White House, and he and his closest advisors personally run the parts of foreign policy that mean the most to them, while leaving the rest, such as Africa and South America, to the professional diplomats at the State Department.

As the Town grapples with the issue of affordable housing, it is appropriate to pause, recognize and honor the passing of one of Essex’s greatest citizens Clayton “Buddy” Brooks Jr. Buddy passed away on January 5th …
