It was hot. It was sunny. It was a more than a little muggy. But a record number of visitors and locals turned out Saturday for Festival by the Sea 2024.
Sponsored by the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Manchester, the townwide event featured more than 100 artisans and craftspeople, live outdoor entertainment, shopping and sidewalk sales by local retailers, restaurants, food trucks, a beer garden, and fun activities for kids, including Face Painting by Miss Wendy, and “reptile fun” from the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team.
The whole of downtown turned on, creating a vibe that encouraged exploring all the great things that Manchester has to offer. Garden Party at the newly renovated Trask House. The annual Book Fair at the Manchester Library. The Fair by the Sea sale at First Parish Church. The music, outdoor food and shopping!
