Beverly-based architecture and design firm SV Design announced this week that Manchester resident, Andrew Crocker, has joined the firm as senior project manager on its residential architecture team.
Andrew joins SV Design with 25 years of experience serving residential, commercial, and institutional clients. Most recently, Andrew was the founding Principal of Andrew Crocker Architect (ACA) since its inception in 2010, where he collaborated with clients to design inspirational and enduring spaces informed by a sense of place, light, and natural materials.
Throughout his career, Andrew has worked with several award-winning architectural firms in the Boston area on projects ranging from high-end urban and suburban residences to universities and boarding schools, to mixed-use commercial developments.
Andrew’s passion in architecture has always been listening to his clients’ ideas and guiding them through the design process in an approachable manner to identify and articulate key objectives. The firm said his values and design philosophy aligns with SV Design’s approach to creating places of beauty and integrity that are timeless, functional, and thoughtfully placed within the landscape.
“We are excited to have Andrew on board and part of our North Shore office’s residential architecture team,” said Tobin Shulman, the firm’s design principal. “Andrew has a natural ability to lead cooperative teams, solve complex design challenges, and his professional experience managing design, planning, and construction phases is an asset to the company and our clients.”
Andrew lives in Manchester-by-the-Sea with his wife and three children who love sailing and skiing in the mountains of Vermont. An avid and competitive sailor since childhood, Andrew is a member of the Manchester Yacht Club, and until recently, was the director of the club’s junior sailing program.
Previously, he volunteered as junior varsity coach of Manchester Essex High School’s State Champion sailing team. Andrew is active in the community and has donated his time to the Manchester-Essex Rotary Club, Manchester-by-the-Sea Zoning Board of Appeals, the Charlestown Preservation Society, and the Massachusetts Charitable Society.
Andrew graduated from Hobart and William Smith Colleges with a major in Architecture and earned a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).
