Wellspring House to host Celesong fundraiser in Rockport

Wellspring House will hold its annual Celesong fundraiser on Friday, May 1, at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport.

The event, scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m., will feature a Nashville-style songwriters’ round with Darrell Scott, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Marcus Hummon, along with a live auction and community reception.

Celesong is Wellspring House’s primary annual fundraiser.  The Gloucester-based nonprofit provides housing support, education, job training and career services to more than 2,000 individuals and families each year across the North Shore.

The evening will include a limited live auction featuring items such as a concert package at Fenway Park and a signed guitar. Television and radio host Billy Costa is scheduled to serve as emcee.

Wellspring House was founded in 1981 and operates offices in Gloucester and Salem, with programs focused on housing stability and workforce development.  Nonprofits across the region have continued to rely on fundraising events such as Celesong to support services amid rising housing and cost-of-living pressures.

Tickets range from $100 to $150, and advance purchase is recommended due to limited capacity.
