To the Editor,
I urge Manchester voters to choose Democratic candidate Dru Tarr in the special election for state representative on Tuesday, March 31st. Polls are open from 7 am - 8 pm at Memorial School.
For the past 10 years Dru Tarr was a legislative aide then district and research director for Rep. Ann-Margaret Ferrante, who sadly died mid-term last year. His priorities are housing affordability, good jobs, excellent schools and climate resilience. His knowledge of our issues and willingness to work collaboratively and transparently are strong qualities. Tarr is also a graduate of North Shore Community College and UMass Dartmouth.
Dru Tarr represents the new generation of leaders for Cape Ann, someone who knows what working families face as they try to stay in our community. He's young, and he's going in the right directions.
For years I was "unenrolled" like many of Cape Ann's voters, happy to evaluate the candidates individually. Today I'm "enrolled," and happy to know we have the best candidate in Democrat Dru Tarr.
