Eleanor M. Lee, 93, passed away peacefully at home on September 3rd, 2024. She was the daughter of Maude E. Olsen and Oscar Olsen.
She grew up in Manchester and graduated from Story High. She raised her family in Manchester and worked for many years as a talented seamstress for Manchester Upholstering. Eleanor was a member and served as the Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 113.
Eleanor’s life was rich with hobbies and interests. Known for her green thumb, she spent countless hours nurturing her garden, which was a testament to her love of nature and beauty. She enjoyed traveling to Florida and other destinations. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, music and painting. She was also an avid Red Sox and Golf fan.
Eleanor leaves behind her daughters, Sharon Crandall and husband Wayne, Linda Lee, and Leslie Victorine; son Allen B. Lee; five grandchildren; Jon D. Victorine, Dr. James Crandall, Stephen Crandall, Pamela Thompson, Kendra Lee, nieces, Cherrie Lamphear, Frances Llerana, Rose Melville; and five great grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, John Lee; sister, Mabel E. Jones; brother, Robert E. Olsen; son, John T. Lee; daughter, Pamela Lee, and grandson, John D. Lee.
Eleanor will be remembered for her soft-spoken nature, kindness, and work ethic. Per her wishes, there will be no services.
