Manchester Elder Brethren Gathering and Picnic Sept. 12

The 2026 meeting of the Elder Brethren will take place on Saturday, September 12th.  The group will gather at the Tuck’s Point Chowder House.  The schedule is as follows:  Gathering and Fellowship starting at 11 a.m. to 12 noon; group photo at 12 noon followed by the traditional meal.  Members need to be in their 49th year or older and have lived in Manchester, now living in Manchester or married to a Manchester resident.

Meal consists of fish and clam chowder, lobster rolls, deli sandwiches, followed by apple pie with cheddar cheese for dessert.  Punch bowls and other beverages will be available.  The cost for the meal is $20, all inclusive. 

Following a short business meeting there will be the awarding of the Elder Brethren Cane to the oldest member in attendance and the Slade Eaton Trophy to the   member who has made major contributions to the Elder Brethren and/or town.

Our guest speaker is Joe Bertagna, former Commissioner of the Big East Collegiate Hockey League.  His talk promises to be interesting.
