On Tuesday, the Essex Historical Society & Shipbuilding Museum will host a pop-up lecture with Jerry Farnham, author of “Main’s Blue-Collar” and “Red at Night,” and “Red in the Morning.”  The lecture will take
place from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 4.  Doors open at 6, with the lecture starting at 7.

Jerry Farnham started out “going sternman” on his father’s lobster boat when he was just six years old, working every summer until leaving at age 19 to serve his country in the US Navy.  He has worked construction and as a marine diesel mechanic.  He currently works as a skilled technician maintaining Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines until his writing career takes off.

Jerry is the proud father of two great kids and devoted husband who lives in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.  When not at work or pounding away at his keyboard he is working in his shop with his kids.

Space is limited and the lecture is free to museum members, $10 for nonmembers.  Registration is required.  Info at essexshipbuilding.org.
