Cape Ann Deserves a Debate

To the Editor,

Cape Ann voters should not have to settle for separate candidate interviews in a contested election.

State Representative Dru Tarr voted for legislation limiting the scope of the State House audit approved by nearly 72% of Massachusetts voters.  His opponent, Christina Delisio, supports the full audit and believes any constitutional questions should be decided by the courts—not by the Legislature being audited.

That disagreement alone deserves a debate.

Put Dru Tarr, Christina Delisio, and Gilbert Frieden in the same room. Ask them the same questions under the same conditions.  Then let Cape Ann voters judge their answers for themselves.

That is not asking too much.  That is democracy.
