On Saturday, September 28 Manchester’s DPW and fire and police departments hosted a Touch-a-Truck event behind the Town Hall. The display of motorcycles, ambulances, fire apparatus, snow removal equipment and plows thrilled the young participants from Manchester, Essex and surrounding towns. Manchester’s safety officials were well-represented and thoroughly enjoyed showing off especially the new ladder truck. The kids clambered over the equipment watched carefully by the town employees. This reporter smiled the whole time to see the support of the parents and the joy in the faces of the little ones.
