Last week the American Legion Riders of Amaral Bailey Post 113 proudly hosted our yearly Bingo Event at the Soldiers Home (formerly called the Chelsea Veterans Home) in Chelsea.
Along with lots of laughter, (pizza of course) and stories, it is always great to catch up with new residents, as well as Veteran residents who have become our dear friends along with the incredible staff there who care for our veterans.
Hard to believe it has been a year since the new state of the art building has been open. (So well deserved by our veterans!)
As we said good night to our veterans, they remarked how they look forward to the annual Summertime Lunch Outing put on by the Amaral Bailey Post 113. One of the organization's veteran friends was glad to see Todd Crane, who continues to run Kettle Cove Catering, which was founded in the 1960s by his father, and remarked how delicious his food is every year at the outing.
American Legion Riders in attendance tonight were: Curt Alboth (Treasurer), Anne Alboth(Secretary), Jack McGuirk(Vice President), Elaine Sclafani, Kendra Olson Fisher, Rick Hallam(Past VP) and Event Coordinator Suzie Hallam. Also joined by Billy Bell Post 113 member and Past Essex County American Legion Commander, Donna Blattenberger MVS Deputy and Kathy Welch MVS Rep of the Mass American Legion Auxillary and Todd Crane of Kettle Cove Catering.
